SHARE assists survivors in acquiring services through referral and by accompanying survivors to appointments. We view the healing process as multifaceted involving practical services such as medical and legal aid and counseling services, as well as personalized recovery through creative expression and other methods of empowerment.

SHARE works in the community to educate groups, agencies, and companies on the issue of sexual violence, addressing cultural attitudes and stigma and how to support survivors and counter the affects of negative response upon disclosure. SHARE strives to EMPOWER the community to take a stand against sexual violence and take collective responsibility in healing survivors and our community.

SHARE also advocates for deaf and hard of hearing survivors to bridge cultural and communicative gaps, and address barriers to services that deaf survivors face. We are currently developing a workshop for providers to highlight culturally-specific needs of the Deaf community and ways of addressing additional barriers  to service access.

SHARE will be hosting healing writing workshops, promoting creative expression as a tool in trauma recovery. SHARE also has plans to devote time to youth outreach focusing on shifting social dialogues and providing safe spaces for youth to disclose and receive support services.
